You are not just near the Father — you are made from Him, one with Him, living within Him. So why do so many believers still feel like outsiders?

The Father didn’t create you at arm’s length. He created you from within Himself — from the very essence of who He is. You’re made of Him. He is one with you. And yet, most of Christian life is spent trying to get closer to a God who is already closer than your next breath.

Part 2 of inhabiting the Father goes deeper — into the nature of oneness, free will, and what it means to live your life as a conscious expression of the Father’s own being.

How Close Is “Close” When It Comes to Oneness with the Father?

The answer is: there is no distance. He created you out of a part of Himself. You’re made of Him. He is one with you. You are living your life as a part of Him — with capabilities to make your own decisions, living your own lifestyle — all from within Him.

That’s the beauty of creation. You always have a free choice to do whatever you want. But the Father’s plan is that your free choice would always lead you back into conscious union with Him — not because you have to, but because you’ve discovered there is no better place to be.

What Does Free Will Look Like Inside of Oneness with God?

Some wonder: if I’m one with the Father, do I have a will of my own? Absolutely — and this is what makes sonship glorious. God doesn’t override your will. He works through it. As you yield to Him, His desires become your desires. His thoughts become your thoughts.

This isn’t control — it’s communion. The more conscious you become of the union, the more your free will naturally aligns with His eternal purposes. Not by suppression, but by transformation.

How Does Your Daily Life Express the Father’s Nature?

Every act of compassion, creativity, and courage you express is an emanation of the Father through you. Jesus said, “The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do” (John 5:19). That same principle applies to you as a son.

When you inhabit the Father consciously, your daily life stops being about managing behaviour and starts being about channelling life. Every encounter becomes an opportunity for the Father to manifest through you — in love, wisdom, and kingdom power.

What Separates Religion from Genuinely Inhabiting the Father?

Religion says: get close to God by doing the right things. Inhabiting the Father says: you are already in Him — simply wake up to it. Religion measures proximity. Sonship declares union.

Religion exhausts. Union rests. Religion produces anxiety about performance. Inhabiting the Father produces peace, because you aren’t performing for God — you are living as an expression of God’s own life in the world.

How Do You Deepen Your Consciousness of Being in the Father?

The key is not spiritual techniques — it’s renewed thinking. As Romans 12:2 says, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Meditating on the truth of your union with the Father reprograms how you see yourself and how you navigate each day.

• Speak the truth out loud: “I am in the Father. He is in me. Right now.”
• When you feel distance, don’t chase God — simply acknowledge He is already with you and within you.
• Let worship flow from union, not from effort to achieve union.
• Read John 14–17 daily until “abiding” becomes your default state of being.
