What does it mean to be one with the fulness of God — and how does that union transform the way you live in the Spirit every single day?
Living in the Spirit is about consciously living by the leading of the Spirit — it’s about living in the knowledge that you’re in Him and He’s in you. It’s about resting in Him. It’s about letting Him be the source of information, direction, relationship, giftings — everything.
Being born again is when the Spirit enters you and becomes one with your spirit. You became new. A new creation — completely different from what you were before. And the fulness of God — everything He is — came to dwell within you permanently.
Paul prayed that you would “be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God” (Ephesians 3:19). This is not a future promise — it is your present inheritance. The Greek word for “fulness” (pleroma) means the entire fullness, completeness, and totality of God’s being.
You are not partially filled with God. You are not waiting to receive more of Him. In Christ, the entirety of who God is — His love, wisdom, power, peace, and nature — has been given to you. Your journey is not acquiring more of God. It’s awakening to the fulness that already dwells within you.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You weren’t repaired when you were born again — you were replaced. The old man, with his nature of separation and death, ceased to exist. A new man, born of the Spirit, came into being.
This new man is inherently one with the Spirit. He thinks with the mind of Christ. He is motivated by the love of the Father. He carries the righteousness of God as his actual nature — not as a performance standard. This is who you are — not who you’re trying to become.
Galatians 5:25 says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Living and walking in the Spirit isn’t a state of constant ecstasy — it’s a continuous orientation of your consciousness toward the Spirit’s leading. It means letting Him inform your decisions, colour your perceptions, and direct your steps.
Practically, it looks like pausing before reacting and checking in with the Spirit’s witness within you. It looks like trusting the inner knowing — the peace or the check — that the Spirit gives. It looks like being more responsive to the Spirit’s nudges than to the flesh’s impulses.
Hebrews 4 describes the rest of God as the place where you cease from your own works, just as God ceased from His. Entering His rest is not laziness — it’s the highest form of faith. It is trusting that what He has done is enough, and that you don’t need to add your own striving to complete it.
When you rest in the Spirit, the fulness of God flows through you without obstruction. Striving creates friction; rest creates flow. The fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience — are not produced by your effort. They are the natural fruit of a life surrendered to the Spirit in rest.
It requires a daily surrender of the controlling mind to the leading Spirit. It means asking before deciding, listening before speaking, and trusting the Spirit’s wisdom over your own analysis.
This is the heart of what Living From Eternity unpacks.
