Prosperity Doesn’t Start in Your Wallet, It Starts Here

Eternal Perspectives

If there’s one scripture that reveals how powerful your inner world is, it’s Proverbs 23:7: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Your mindset isn’t just influencing your life. It is literally creating it. And when Kari and I began understanding this, everything about our life shifted — because the more we looked at the patriarchs, the more we saw the same pattern repeated over and over again.

Abraham, David, Solomon. None of them strived for prosperity. None of them chased success. None of them hustled for blessing. They awakened to it.

Why does prosperity start in your mindset, not your money?

Because mindset is what creates reality. Proverbs 23:7 doesn’t say “as a man earns, so is he.” It says as a man thinks in his heart. The inner world always precedes the outer world. What you see and believe about Father God, about yourself, about the abundance He has already placed within you — that is the actual seed of prosperity.

This is why two people can live in the same circumstances and experience completely different outcomes. It’s not about their bank balance. It’s not about their opportunities. It’s about the reality they are seeing and living from on the inside. Prosperity begins when your mindset locks onto God’s reality, not the world’s.

What did Abraham understand that most believers miss?

Abraham realised that faith creates substance. He saw that God wasn’t just backing him — God was going before him. That single awareness produced wealth, influence, and impact that shaped nations. He didn’t have a business plan. He didn’t have a strategy meeting. He had a revelation of who Father God was — and that revelation was enough.

Most believers approach prosperity by trying to figure out the “how.” Abraham approached it by deepening his awareness of “who.” And that’s the shift that changes everything. When you see that God is going before you — truly see it — the striving stops, and the flow begins.

How did David discover that intimacy makes lack impossible?

David didn’t see God as distant. He didn’t see himself as helpless. He knew — with a depth that saturated his entire life — that staying connected to Father God meant everything he needed would align. He didn’t pursue provision. He pursued the Presence. And provision followed.

This is the model David lived from: intimacy with Father God makes lack impossible. Not because God reluctantly supplies, but because oneness with the Source means the Source flows through you. When you are connected to the One who owns everything, lack stops being your reality.

What did Solomon’s wisdom request reveal about purpose and prosperity?

Solomon understood that purpose births prosperity. His request wasn’t for money, power, or long life — it was for wisdom to carry out his assignment. And by awakening to who he was called to be, he positioned himself for wealth beyond calculation. Purpose came first. Prosperity followed.

Here is the common denominator across all three patriarchs: they each saw something in Father God — something bigger, deeper, and more supernatural than the world around them — and that awareness shifted their entire reality. The prosperity wasn’t the starting point. The awakening was.

How do you awaken to abundance as a son of God?

Your relationship with Father God doesn’t just inspire you. It redefines you. And once your identity shifts, your reality must follow. The awakening happens when you start seeing yourself the way He sees you — as a son, not a servant; as an heir, not an applicant.

As you awaken to:

  • Who you are as a son
  • What you carry in the Spirit
  • What your purpose is
  • What God wants to manifest through you

Abundance stops being something you chase — and becomes something you reflect.
